Farm Burger co-owner and restaurateur George Frangos created Farm Dogs with the same ethos as the popular burger chain. Offering a simple twist on classic fan fare, the menu will feature Hickory Nut Gap 100% grassfed beef hot dogs, Vandele Farms sausages and Blunt Pretzels, all designed to pair perfectly with local favorite and new neighbor, Highland Brewing. Patrons will have their pick of six new creations, from the Farm Dog, garnished with oxtail chili and pimento cheese to the Seasonal Sausage, topped with grilled tomatoes and local herb chimichurri. Rounding out the menu are offerings from Blunt Pretzels, an Asheville staple founded on the ideals of simplicity, craftsmanship and community. Created by Eddy Schoeffmann 10 years ago, the all vegan pretzels are made through an ancient German pretzel baking tradition and are in a word, irresistible.
“We’re thrilled to be opening the first Farm Dogs location in a city that has such a rich history and appetite,” Frangos said. “I can’t think of a better place than S&W Market to debut, not only because of its historical significance to the community, but also because of its collaborative dynamic.”
